#121 – Made 500K, First Year Heavy Hauling With Only One Truck!

Early life:

The young Wadley St. Pierre had a passion for sports, even playing football in his high school days. The multiple injuries he sustained stopped him from pursuing a sports career, and he was left with little choice but to find a more reasonable job.

At 25, Pierre earned his CDL and began delivering Nestlé products. He credits his brother for inspiring him to go into the long haul trucking business. Pierre was always in hot water, working as a yardman and an occasional driver in Nestle. He said it was a learning experience and taught him everything from driving skills to trucking experience.

When Nestlé decided to lay off 7000 employees, Pierre was one of the people who lost his job. The corporation, however, paid $400K to ex-employees who had been with the company with a pension. So after having toiled beneath the thumb of others for several years, he finally decided to start his own business.

Interaction with TN’H:

In an interview with Truck N’ Hustle, Pierre uncovered all the facts and statistics on how he eventually started his own company with his partner. He says that his priority was to conduct a good deal of research before making any decisions, and the heavy haul was not the first goal. Pierre was an entrepreneur who began his small business with flatbed and step deck trucks.

Pierre is a professional heavy hauler. His trucking business deals with oversized cargo, wide loads, and every kind of heavy equipment, including excavators.

During his interview, Pierre touched upon several topics, including the biggest mistakes he made while starting his business, the changes that occurred from when he first started to where he is today, and his company’s revenue for the year.

Pierre, a mentor for entrepreneurs, shared how he helps novice entrepreneurs start the heavy haul trucking industry and its success guide.

Pierre also revealed some trade secrets in his hour-long interview. For example, he not only gave away tips on how to get loads for heavy hauls, but he also said what not to do in the business. Additionally, he told me how to keep your relationships with brokers intact.

Final thought:

Pierre summed up his thoughts about success with a simple statement: Nothing is impossible. If you have a dream and you put your heart into it, you might eventually get there. Practice makes all perfect.
