#125 – Ex-Felon Builds 45 Vehicle Amazon Fleet & Shuttle Bus Company!

Early life:

Last Mile Delivery Trent Griffin-Braaf, who played in the State basketball championship in high school, is the chief executive officer of GB Logistics. His lack of composure led to his four-year prison sentence for a drug-related case.

After leaving prison and getting a series of temporary jobs, Braaf worked in the hospitality industry. He moved up the corporate ladder until he became a General Manager. It was there that he realized that he could go far in life and began working even harder, eventually creating a shuttle bus service for the hotel he was working. Thereafter, Braaf set about learning everything he could about shuttle buses and started making plans for his own bus company.

Interaction with TN’H

In 2017, the shuttle bus company went live with one vehicle and three other people—and they were open for business. In the meantime, he was also fascinated by the transportation industry, and he saw a way to use his transportation business for good. In an interview with TNH, Braff explained why he started the Tech valley shuttle and the moves and steps used in the program.  Tech Valley Shuttle offers poverty reduction transportation services. After considerable deliberation, Braff realized both his transportation and poverty goals.

Braff was bursting with ideas to share with other business owners how to run a shuttle bus company successfully. He described the micro-transit business and its importance in modern transportation, sharing his research observations. During a one-hour interview, Braff gave much helpful information about the industry as most important is to discuss compliance issues when operating a business.

As part of his interview, Braff was cryptic about how to charge and fix rates and how to reconfigure and reconstruct your prices. As a victim of the covid-19 pandemic, he offered advice on overcoming significant hardships.

Final thoughts:

Braff said the transportation industry possesses a great deal of opportunity for new entrepreneurs and offers new business owners many exciting possibilities. If ex-felon who are often stigmatized for their past actions can be productive members of society, then anyone can.
