#142 – AMAZON “Yard Jockey” BUILDS 10+ MILLION DOLLAR Trucking Business; 35 TRUCK FLEET!

Early Life:

The story of Brandon Davis, who worked hard and ultimately achieved success, is an excellent example of how hard work can lead to fulfillment. Davis was born and raised in North Carolina, where he always felt a strong desire to make money. At 18, after graduating from high school, he obtained his Intrastate CDL to become a truck driver.

Davis says that his neighbor’s experience as an owner-operator of trucks spurred him to join the industry. He saw how well his neighbor’s business was doing and wanted to follow in his footsteps. He began his career as a truck driver at age eighteen, hauling shingles on a flatbed. Through his association with that business, he learned aspects of its operations.

Unfortunately, the company did not do well, and Davis had to quit his job after working for only 6-7 months. Because his CDL was intrastate and could drive only locally, he had to look for a job that would allow him to drive farther. He transitioned into fire service, driving trucks for the department’s fire trucks.

Davis worked as a fire engineer and also drove a truck for Amerigas, a company that hired him part-time to drive its trucks. After leaving the fire profession, Davis was offered a job in Amerigas in safety and consulting business. This consulting business allowed him to explore his own interests, which led to the founding of his own business.

Interaction with TN’H:

Davis’ work for Amerigas afforded him a number of opportunities and benefits, including the development of his own business. He began working with carriers on their consulting needs, and as a result, he developed many contacts. The growth of a company starts with the story. Davis told Truck N Hustle how he got into trucking and what it takes to scale the business higher than you ever thought possible.

Brandon Davis founded Davis EIS in 2017, establishing a foundation for his brand through the creation of a one-man company. Davis first branched Davis EIS into the corporate world in 2016, and ever since it has expanded from its original vision as a trucking company. Today, Davis EIS is an integral part of logistics, marketing, contracting and real estate development.

The story of how Davis built a yard jockey service is intriguing. He shares his experiences, giving away many valuable insights to aspiring entrepreneurs who want to start similar types of businesses themselves! To summarize an article will not do justice to all the information and knowledge he could teach you in this industry–so listen to or watch my episode instead
