#111 – HOW TO SURVIVE AMERICA’S SEMI-TRUCK SHORTAGE?

Courtnay Beckham was told she couldn’t be a truck saleswoman. She had no experience in the trucking industry, but she did have motivation and resilience. Today, Beckham has been recognized as the top Saleswoman at Select Trucks of Atlanta. She took time away from her busy schedule to answer some questions about her recent success and what the future holds.

Select Trucks of Atlanta is one of the largest used truck dealers in the Southeast, and an award winning Select Trucks location. They specialize in remarketing trucks that have been traded to Freightliner by America’s largest and most reputable freight fleets to companies nationwide

The used truck market is thriving, but it’s not for the faint of heart. “There are a lot of challenges,” says Courtnay Beckham, who notes that fleets need to be very selective in choosing resellers with whom they do business. “You have to know what you’re doing.”

Beckham spoke a great deal about the trucking shortage and had a clear understanding of the issues that have arisen in this booming industry. There are many aspects to consider when facing these difficulties, but the main question to be asked is: how many trucks do you have, what kind of equipment are you using, and do you have enough money to buy those trucks? Through her presentation, she made sure that the information got out there. She believes that when it comes to warranties, people should do proactive documentation or record-keeping that can help them with the warranty.

With her interview, Beckham wants to bring some clarity to people who are trying to join this industry. She also answers frequently asked industry questions, which gives viewers a good idea of things that should be done and things that must be avoided.

Beckham adds that it is essential that one understand how much effort goes into becoming a part of the industry and how much more will be needed for them if they want success.
