Sharae Moore has been a voice for the trucking industry for more than seven years, representing women in their struggle to be treated fairly. Born and raised in Tennessee, Moore is a truck driver, CDL instructor, author, a speaker and has always been a helper to anyone interested in pursuing a trucking career.
From a nurse to a trucking entrepreneur and visionary, Sharae Moore has proven that anything is possible with hard work, dedication, and a little magic. Seven years ago, Moore started driving a truck for a Swedish company called Swift, and she has been in the industry ever since. Her mother used to drive, and she has her CDL license too. Her passion comes from getting it out the most for real, like grinding it, going down the road, and actually driving.
Sharae Moore, daughter of a trucking family and first-generation female truck driver, began her career in the trucking industry seven years ago. Since then, she has started her own company and built one of the most recognizable brands in the industry with her S.H.E clothing line. She has also built the largest community for women’s empowerment in the trucking industry. Moore has been featured on the Facebook, Uber and CNN pages, as well as on national television.
When she is not working, she is training others on how to pass their knowledge test and become CDL holders. Moore is also the driving force behind solving the biggest problem in the trucking industry today: the lack of drivers.
Interaction with TN’H:
Whenever Sharae Moore comes to the Truck N’ Hustle, there is a powerful energy that fills the space. In an interview, Moore says that trucking is a good option for everyone, regardless of gender. She believes that trucking is a billion-dollar industry and that people should make the most out of it. Moore, who is black and female, was a double minority when she came into the industry for the first time. She emphasized in the interview how she worked hard to overcome this issue and why she founded SHE trucking.
Moore told the audience how she became an entrepreneur and started her company, noting that it was not always clear if this would be successful. She also shared some of her personal success stories from early on when things weren’t so easy – but they’re still inspiring. Moore spoke about how she began to earn revenue, where the loads came from, and what it took for her business. She also talked extensively about compliance matters such as keeping up with everything required by law or risk losing money in penalties if something goes wrong.
Moore’s interview was chock-full of valuable information for women interested in trucking. She discussed how to survive and thrive as a woman in this industry, giving many insights into what it takes both physically (in terms of strength) and mentally from an emotional standpoint because there are so many demands put on you at once. The words coming out of her mouth can be relatable to those who need inspiration or guidance towards achieving success through hard work like she did–we hope they inspire others too.
Sharae Moore has left an enduring impression on the trucking industry. Her philosophy of “changing your future” is something we can all take away from her experience and success, which she achieved through hard work just like everyone else.
“If you can’t change your, change your future.” She spoke.
